Thread: New year

  1. Default New year

What is going on here I see no posts this year are you all still alive?
I'm an idealist. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

I was wondering the same thing. This place used to be a buzzing. Looking at the stats the most guest online was just a couple of weeks ago so there must be some ppl interested in the content. I can't stand FB and love the playing my favorite game in the arcade on here. Don't know what I'm gonna do once the Flash Player goes in Dec.

We need to wake up Pipeman and try to get him back and start stirring up conversations like the good old days. He was just a wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to be around.

It seems many of the old-time members have gone away. Facebook and Instagram popularity has had a negative affect on all forums causing a decrease in participation. It's very easy to snap a photo, write a brief story and post it to Instagram for all your followers to see. I've had discussions with Harry a couple of times and have to give him credit for sticking with his passion for this forum.

FWIW, most of the "guests" recorded on the site are bots that roam through the forum looking for content. Some are used to find criteria for search engines and others are looking for videos and video links for porno and those lame sites that host photos and videos of almost anything that will invite people to want to have a look. It's all about getting "clicks" on ads and making money.

I'm still around and check for updates every now and then. After 20 some odd years I quit trucking and drive a school bus now. Union job that pays well with lots of time off. We even get paid for the breaks. This is the tail of one Ex OTR driver.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be. The kids do listen to us drivers. The noise I can't do nothing about, I just ignore them. But the job is good and I like it. I'm also treated well. Unless something awful happened I don't think I'll ever go back.

I’m still kicking around. I stop in from time to time and read the posts. Just about finished the first year of owning my truck. Thankfully it’s all gone well and works been very busy.

Congrats Nate on owning a truck. I always knew you would do well in this industry when you started. You've never been afraid of a challenge.

I had major surgery on Thursday, home now doing good so I'll be on here quite a bit for the next two months.

I still wander through once a week or so
Being medically retired due to a major heart attack in April 2017 and no DR will sign a Medical card is a drag.
