Default Donít think someone will be a happy camper.

I had a road test booked last Friday at 10 am for a new hire O/O.
The guy never showed. He ďhad to do a trip to Winnipeg Thursday and didnít get back till yesterday afternoonĒ
Today around 11 i hear ď Iím here for a road test. My name is ..,....Ē
I didnít have one booked. Turns out itís the same guy from Friday.
I wasnít busy so I asked to see his truck / trailer paperwork
The annuals were both done Monday, in Mississauga. By the dates on them.
So i went out and started walking around his trailer.
The thing had a L/Front seal Leaking , 2 inch gash in the airline (cord showing) from the relay valve and worn out glad hand rubbers.
The tractor had 2 bald drive tires, a crack in the frame, bumper was loose and a cracked windshield.
Road Test over before it starts. Guy gets all hot and bothered.
In the mean time i took pictures of both safeties.
Told my boss why i wouldnít do the test and i refuse to rebook it
Then I called the ministry and chatted about the defects but the truck was certified safe.
There is a shop in the GTA that is going to get a visit today or tomorrow.
My boss had to go out but when he came back came in and told me the truck was parked in front of a green and white car on the eastbound 401 in Mississauga.
All he said was ďHmmmm, wonder why? Did you drop a dime on him? ď
Of course i donít know how MTO picked THAT particular vehicle to do a random spot check.

Not going to happen. The guy showed me he doesn't give a gosh darn and will do what he pleases. On top of that, he never called to cancel the first appt. then he out and out lied to me.
